The Council met at Pittwood House, Ashby Road, Scunthorpe.

1965 NOTICE OF MOTION – APPOINTMENT OF OTHER THAN ESSENTIAL FRONTLINE STAFF –
Moved by Councillor Mrs Redfern and Seconded by Councillor J Briggs –
“This council calls for an urgent explanation as to why the policy on the vacancy freeze, set by the Leader on 25 June 2010, has been deviated from.”
Moved by Councillor Swift and Seconded by Councillor Davison as an amendment –
“This council condemns the action of the North Lincolnshire Council’s opposition Conservative Group in its vendetta against individual employees as demonstrated in the calling of an extraordinary council meetings and abhorrent press releases.
Furthermore it is important that appropriate training needs are assessed to address the Conservative Leadership’s lack of understanding of policies and procedures in relation to human resources so that no other members of staff are singled out for unwarranted harassment in future.”
Moved by Councillor Barkworth and Seconded by Councillor Collinson –
That in accordance with Procedure Rule D1.19 (m) “the question be now put.”

The council then proceeded to vote on the amendment submitted by Councillor Swift to the original motion put by Councillor Mrs Redfern.
