59 (24) WASTE TO ENERGY 2008 – CONFERENCE – The Service Director Legal and Democratic submitted a report in connection with a conference to be held in Bremen, Germany on 10 and 11 December 2008 entitled “Waste to Energy” 2008. The two day conference will explore climate protection and energy efficiency in waste treatment and bio energy production. It will involve high level speakers and a number of workshops exploring these issues.
Resolved – That the Deputy Leader of the Council together with Councillors Barker and Bunyan and the Service Director Neighbourhood and Environmental and the Project Director – Waste Contracts be authorised to attend the conference.
