The consultation period had now concluded and the report updated the Cabinet Member on feedback from the consultation process and presented the revised draft strategy for approval and implementation.

Resolved – That the revised Primary School Organisation Review Strategy, attached at Appendix A to the report, be approved for publishing.

On February 2012, approval was granted for a public consultation to be undertaken regarding the council’s proposal to merge Priory Lane Infant and Junior Schools to create a through-primary school (minute 57 refers).

The council consulted stakeholders from 10 February to 23 March 2012.  This was an inclusive process utilising a variety of consultation methods.  Feedback from the consultation had now been analysed and could be used to help determine the most appropriate option regarding the next stage of the consultation process.
