68        (67)  RESTRUCTURE OF NEIGHBOURHOOD SERVICES AND BEREAVEMENT SERVICES – The Director of Neighbourhood and Environment Services submitted a report seeking approval of the proposed restructure to neighbourhood Services which were considered necessary to achieve the required level of efficiency savings in the 2012/13 revenue budget.

It was explained that Bereavement Services had been managed on an informal basis by the Area Manager (Scunthorpe) in Neighbourhood Services since 2011 following the departure of both the Bereavement Services Manager and the Deputy Bereavement Services Manager. The report highlighted the need to formalise the new management arrangement.

Resolved – That the proposed restructure of Neighbourhood Services as detailed in paragraph 3.1 of the report be approved.
