50  (49)  ENERGY MANAGEMENT OFFICER – The Director of Infrastructure Services submitted a report seeking approval to change the grade of the post of Energy Management Officer (post no. PRCO0053) in Infrastructure Services. 

The post of Energy Management Officer was established in 2004 and the usual process of job evaluation was used to determine the grade of the post.  

A review of the job description had identified some gaps against activities required of the post, in particular, developments since 2004 relating to satisfying the requirements placed upon the council relating to the Carbon Reduction Commitment and the need to provide Display Energy Certificates for council buildings. 

Following amendments to the job description the post had been re-evaluated and the correct grade had been established as Grade 7. 

Resolved – That the re-grading of the post of Energy Management Officer from grade 6 to grade 7 be approved.
