Customer Services, Sport & Leisure Cabinet Member – Minutes – 16 April 2014

The corresponding report of the following item (Minute 31 refers) contains exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 1 & 2 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).

31        (10)  SPORTS FACILITIES – STAFFING REVIEW 2014 –  The Director of Places submitted a report which sought approval to change the staffing establishment of Sports Facilities.

Following the review in 2009, which resulted in significant performance improvement, the report outlined how there was the need to move Sports Facilities forward if it was to contribute to the vision of a dynamic, high performing, customer focussed council, giving the best possible value for money and changing outcomes for all people living and working in the area.

It was explained that the proposed changes would lead to a leaner service that was designed to maximise areas that generated income, provide more support staff at floor level and assist managers in delivering targets.

Full details of the proposed changes were outlined in the report and associated appendices.

Resolved – That the proposed structure for Sports Facilities staffing as set out in the appendices to the report be approved.

Note: Reports are in Portable Document Format (PDF) and therefore require a suitable reader to view them. A reader can be downloaded free from the Adobe website (full instructions for downloading the reader are provided on the site).

Where there is no report this is because it is exempt, as it contains information which is considered to be of a confidential nature, as detailed in the Local Government (Access to Information) Act.
