Customer Services, Sport and Leisure and Asset Management, Culture and Housing Cabinet Members – Minutes – 1 May 2014

6          (6) REVIEW OF SPORT, LEISURE AND CULTURE SENIOR MANAGEMENT TEAM – The Director of Places submitted a report which sought approval of a new staffing structure for Sport, Leisure and Culture Senior Management Team.

The changes proposed were part of an agreed wider budget plan.

The report identified how vital it was that the council considered how best to deliver services that were within budget, and continued to meet the council’s priority for excellent customer service.  It was considered timely to review the senior management team to ensure that management arrangements reflected the nature of the service, were fit for future purpose, and offered the best possible value for money.

Full details of the proposals were outlined within the report and associated appendices.

Resolved – That the staffing structure, posts and grades for Sport, Leisure and Culture Senior Management Team set out in Appendix 2 of the report be approved.

7          (7) CHURCHILL CATERING SERVICES NORMANBY HALL GOLF CLUB AND NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE MUSEUM – The Director of Places submitted a report which sought consideration of action required in response to Churchill Catering’s failure to meet contractual payments.

Full details of the implications and proposals were outlined within the report.

Resolved – (a) That Option 2 outlined within the report be approved, and (b) that a further report be prepared once options for the provision of catering services at the Pods, Nutshell Café, NHGC and NLM have been identified.
