Customer Services, Sport & Leisure and Asset Management, Culture & Housing Cabinet Members – Minutes – 11 December 2013

4          (4) SPORT, LEISURE AND CULTURE CATERING REVIEW – The Director of Places submitted a report which outlined the progress with the reviews of catering services within Sport, Leisure and Culture venues.

The agreed future provision continued with a ‘mixed economy’ approach across the service and venue specific reviews had been completed at 20-21 and the Indoor Bowls Centre.

Details of the way forward and proposals were outlined within the report.

Resolved – (a) That the progress on the reviews be noted; (b) that the course of action proposed for the 20-21 Visual Arts Centre be accepted; (c) that the progress of the café be monitored over the course of the 2014/15 financial year and a further report brought to a future briefing, and (d) that the council ceases to provide a catering service at the Indoor Bowls Centre and accept an offer from Scunthorpe and District Indoor Bowls Club to operate and manage a service.
