72 (72) HOUSING RELATED SUPPORT SERVICES – The Director of People submitted a report to inform the Cabinet Member of the progress of commissioning Housing Related Support Services and sought approval for the new model of provisions that would improve outcomes for vulnerable people.

Housing Related Support (HRS) services were defined as a range of support services, appropriate to individual needs, offered to those vulnerable people who without support had an above average risk of losing their independence or accommodation, but who with support stood a good chance of achieving or maintaining their independence or accommodation.

Further details of the proposed service and related staffing matters were outlined within the report.

Resolved – (a)  That the Commissioning process for the Housing Related Support moves to the procurement phase; (b) that the new model of Housing Related Support be approved; (c) that the creation of the First Stop Housing Related Support Monitoring Officer post be approved; (d) that the TUPE of the employee from Humbercare to North Lincolnshire Council be approved; (e) that the deletion of 49 vacant hours of staff time in the learning disability service be approved, and (f) that existing service contracts, due to expire on 30 August 2013, be extended by a period of 4 months, to 31 December 2013 to allow the proposed procurement to be completed.
