Leader of the Council and Place Shaping Cabinet Member – Minutes – 6 December 2017

The corresponding report of the following items (Minute 8 refers) contains exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 1 and 2 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).

8 (8) ECONOMY AND GROWTH REVIEW – The Director: Business Development submitted a report seeking approval to establish the first phase of a staffing structure within Economy and Growth.

Economy and Growth was established on 1 June 2017.  The portfolio included all of the former Registrars Service, IT Services, Economic Growth, Policy and Research, Commercial Property, Commercial function, Services to Schools, Events, Communications and PR.

The new staffing structure would enable a greater emphasis on the council’s role of place maker and place shaper, to transform the economic trajectory of North Lincolnshire.  It also placed commercialisation at the heart of the organisation to support a sustainable council by 2020.

Full details of the proposed staffing structure, including financial implications, were set out in the report and accompanying appendix.

Resolved – That the establishment of the posts to support the first phase of the Economy and Growth review, as set out in the report and appendix, be approved.

Note: Reports are in Portable Document Format (PDF) and therefore require a suitable reader to view them. A reader can be downloaded free from the Adobe website (full instructions for downloading the reader are provided on the site).

Where there is no report this is because it is exempt, as it contains information which is considered to be of a confidential nature, as detailed in the Local Government (Access to Information) Act.
