16 (16) REGRADING OF THE ACCOUNTABLE OFFICER – SAFER NEIGHBOURHOODS POST – The Director: Children and Community Resilience submitted a report seeking approval for the regrading of the Accountable Officer – Safer Neighbourhoods.
The post of Accountable Officer – Safer Neighbourhoods held a portfolio of Safer Neighbourhood services with responsibility for ensuring that the council’s duties are met, in line with national policy and expected standards.
The growth in remit of the post had required a substantial change to the responsibilities of the role and the post had subsequently been subject to evaluation in accordance with the provisions of the council’s pay and grading policies.
Details of the proposal, including financial implications, were set out in the report.
Resolved – That the regrading of the post of Accountable Officer – Safer Neighbourhoods, as set out in the report, be approved.
