6 (6) VOLUNTARY REGISTRATION OF A VILLAGE GREEN, LAND AT TOP FIELD, BARTON UPON HUMBER – The Director: Operations submitted a report considering the dedication of a village green at land at Top Field, Barton upon Humber.

Following Ward Member representation to create a village green on the area of land known as Top Field, adjacent to Ferriby Road, Barton upon Humber, residents made an application for green status on 15 October 2016.

A section of the land was now being developed upon.  The remaining a land was owned by the council and was the area which was now proposed to be designated as a green.  The extent of the land to be designated was shown on the plan attached to the report at Appendix 1.

A voluntary group would be formed by Ward Members to manage the village green  in the future.

Resolved – (a) That the area of land, set out at Appendix 1 to the report, be voluntarily dedicated as a village green, and (b) that it be developed and maintained by a voluntary group to be constituted by Ward Members.
