266  (3)  PROMOTING THE HEALTH AND WELLBEING OF NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE COUNCIL EMPLOYEES – Consideration of the draft report – The chair opened discussion on the draft report, inviting comments, changes or input from members. A debate on the content occurred and a number of minor changes were agreed.

Resolved – (a) That members and witnesses be thanked for their input and hard work, and (b) that the report be approved by the panel and passed to the next meeting of the council for its consideration and debate.

267  CONSIDERATION OF FUTURE WORK PROGRAMME AND PRIORITIES– The chair began a discussion of the panel’s priorities for the 2010/11 municipal year. A number of potential topics were raised, including dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, health inequalities, teenage pregnancy and childhood immunisation.  Consideration was also given to piloting a piece of research based around the principles of Total Place, taking a holistic overview of an issue and identifying and reducing duplication.

Resolved – (a)  That the Service Director Adult Services be invited to a future meeting to discuss progress on the local dementia strategy, (b) that the Director of Public Health be invited to provide an update on childhood immunisation, (c) that additional work be undertaken to inform members’ considerations, and (d) that a final decision on priorities be taken after completion of the above.

268  (4)  LEADER OF THE COUNCIL’S FORWARD PLAN – JULY TO OCTOBER – The Service Director Legal and Democratic circulated the Leader of North Lincolnshire Council’s Forward Plan for July to October 2010.

The plan contained details of all matters and issues likely to be the subject of key decisions for a period of the next four months, updated on a monthly basis.  Members discussed various items on the Forward Plan.

Resolved – That the position be noted
