MINUTES
PRESENT: Councillor Marper in the Chair.
Councillors Clark, Collinson, Swift and Wells.
Statutory Co-opted Members: Mrs D Senior and Mrs P Whittaker (Parent Governor Representative) and Mr W Egan and Mr P Thompson (Church Representatives).
Councillors Kirk and Whiteley attended the meeting in accordance with the provisions of Procedure Rule 1.37 (b).
The panel met at the Civic Centre, Scunthorpe.
211 DECLARATIONS OF DISCOSABLE PECUNIARY INTERESTS AND PERSONAL OR PERSONAL AND PREJUDICIAL INTERESTS AND DECLARATIONS OF WHIPPING ARRANGEMENTS (IF ANY) – There were no declarations of disclosable pecuniary interests and personal or personal and prejudicial interests –
No whip was declared.
212 PUBLIC REQUESTS TO SPEAK – There were no requests received.
213 (5) REVIEW OF CHILDHOOD WEIGHT IN NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE – The Director of Policy and Resources circulated a document updating members of the details of the review and the evidence that had been gathered so far. The document outlined the statistics, visits, presentations and observations that have been carried out during this review, and sought the panel’s views on the next stages of the review, or if they thought that all areas had now been covered. In the meantime panel members were continuing to visit more schools to make observations at lunch times.
Resolved – (a)That the current position be noted, and (b) that the background report be drafted and brought back to the panel for consideration of the conclusions and recommendations.
214 CONSIDERATION OF THE PANEL’S FUTURE WORK PROGRAMME – Members discussed various items for their future work programme and priorities for the 2013/14 municipal year.
Resolved – That a detailed list be prepared by the Director of Policy and Resources for consideration at the next meeting.
