The panel met at the Civic Centre, Scunthorpe.

299  DECLARATIONS OF DISCLOSABLE PECUNIARY INTERESTS AND PERSONAL OR PERSONAL AND PREJUDICIAL INTERESTS AND DECLARATIONS OF WHIPPING ARRANGEMENTS (IF ANY) – There were no declarations or whip declared.

301  SCRUTINY REVIEW – CARE HOMES IN NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE – The Chairman welcome Angie Tew from the Care Quality Commission (CQC), and Angela Aitken from the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).

Angie Tew updated the panel following her last visit to scrutiny on the work undertaken by the CQC. She informed them of the change to the regime used for inspections of care homes, and the different methodology used since implementation in October 2014. She outlined the new criteria for rating care homes, which includes tailored inspections, the increased use of experts, using key lines of enquiry and providing a rating for all key areas.

Angela Aitken from the Yorkshire and Humber Commissioning Support Unit of the CCG attended the meeting and informed the panel of the role the CCG carried out with care homes in North Lincolnshire.

Resolved – (a) That Angie and Angela both be thanked for their attendance, and (b) that the information provided be noted.
