366 DECLARATIONS OF DISCLOSABLE PECUNIARY INTERESTS AND PERSONAL OR PERSONAL AND PREJUDICIAL INTERESTS AND DECLARATIONS OF WHIPPING ARRANGEMENTS (IF ANY) – There were no declarations of pecuniary or personal and prejudicial interests.
No whip was declared.
367 MINUTES – Resolved – That the minutes of the proceedings of this panel held on 2 April 2014, having been printed and circulated amongst the members, be taken as read and correctly recorded and signed by the chair.
368 PUBLIC REQUESTS TO SPEAK – There were no requests received.
369 CABINET MEMBER AND SERVICE AREA PRIORITIES – The Chair welcomed Councillor Briggs to the meeting, the council’s Cabinet Member for Asset Management, Culture and Housing. Councillor Briggs had been invited to the panel meeting to update members on any key decisions, important business or key developments, which had occurred during the last quarter. Items raised by the Cabinet Member included affordable housing, homelessness, visitor numbers to various attractions and amenities, and ongoing and planned consultations for various significant sites for development and regeneration.
Following the update, the Chair invited members to question the Cabinet Member for Highways and Neighbourhoods.
Resolved – (a) That the oral update be noted, and (b) that the Cabinet Member for Asset Management, Culture and Housing be thanked for his attendance, presentation and for answering members’ questions.
370 THE PROMOTION OF TOURISM IN NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE– The Chair welcomed the council’s Cabinet Member for Customer Service, Sport and Leisure, the Director of Places, and the Principal Tourism Services Officer to the meeting.
A brief discussion occurred as to the absence of two members of the panel, including the panel’s Chairman.
Resolved – That this item be deferred to a future date of the panel.
