Places Scrutiny Panel (Special Meeting) – 27 June 2014
PRESENT: Councillor Evison in the chair.
Councillors Davison (vice-chair), England, Ogg and Oldfield.
Councillors Collinson, Grant, L Foster, Waltham, Whiteley and Wilson attended the meeting in accordance with the provisions of Procedure Rule 1.37 (b).
The panel met at the Civic Centre, Scunthorpe.

389 PUBLIC REQUESTS TO SPEAK – The Chairman invited Councillor Waltham to address the scrutiny panel. Councillor Waltham sought legal clarification on whether members of the scrutiny panel should declare a personal and prejudicial interest if their Trade Union contributed financially at a national and/or local level towards their political party.
Following Councillor Waltham’s comments, the Chairman sought the views of panel members as to whether they would declare a personal and prejudicial interest.
Resolved – That the meeting be adjourned and reconvened to a new date and time to allow legal clarification to be sought on the above declaration of interest issue.
