515 DECLARATIONS OF DISCLOSABLE PECUNIARY INTERESTS AND PERSONAL OR PERSONAL AND PREJUDICIAL INTERESTS AND DECLARATIONS OF WHIPPING ARRANGEMENTS (IF ANY) – There were no declarations of disclosable pecuniary interests and personal or personal and prejudicial interests –
No whip was declared.
516 MINUTES – Resolved – That the minutes of the proceedings of this panel held on 11 February 2016, having been printed and circulated amongst the members, be taken as read and correctly recorded and signed by the chairman.
517 PUBLIC REQUESTS TO SPEAK – There were no requests received.
518 CABINET MEMBER AND SERVICE AREA PRIORITIES – The Chairman welcomed Councillor Poole to the meeting, the council’s Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods. Councillor Poole had been invited to the panel meeting to update members on any key decisions, important business or key developments, which had occurred during the last quarter.
Resolved – That the Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods be thanked for his attendance, presentation and for answering members’ questions.
519 (6) FEMALE GENITAL MUTILATION – A COUCILLORS GUIDE – The Director of Policy and Resources circulated the Local Government Association Councillor’s Guide to Female Genital Mutilation.
Resolved – (a) That the report be noted, and (b) that council officers be invited to the next scheduled meeting of the Panel to discuss Female Genital Mutilation.
520 (7) TACKLING CHILD SEXUAL EXPLOITATION – A RESOURCE PACK FOR COUNCILS – The Director of Policy and Resources circulated the Local Government Association resource pack for council’s on Tackling Child Sexual Exploitation.
Resolved – (a) That the report be noted, and (b) that council officers be invited to a future meeting of the Panel to discuss Child Sexual Exploitation.
