The council met at the Civic Centre Ashby Road, Scunthorpe.

2127  DECLARATIONS OF DISCLOSABLE PECUNIARY INTERESTS AND PERSONAL OR PERSONAL AND PREJUDICIAL INTERESTS – There were no declarations of interests.

2128  NOTICE OF MOTION – SILICA PARK NATURE RESERVE

Moved by Councillor L Foster and seconded by Councillor Swift –

“This council abandons any proposals to build on any part or former part of Silica Park Nature Reserve and does not implement planning application PA/2012/0337.”

Moved by Councillor Mrs Redfern and seconded by Councillor Waltham as an amendment –

“This council confirms its commitment to looked after children by providing excellent quality residential care.  The children’s campus to be built off Scotter Road, marks a significant investment in improving the lives of children in care and it should be welcomed.

In addition, this council acknowledges the hard work and integrity of the team employed in the children in care arena.  In particular following the recent “outstanding” Ofsted judgements received for the Fostering Team and Looked After Children Service and the “good” cross service inspection for safeguarding”.

Moved by Councillor Waltham and seconded by Councillor C Sherwood –

That in accordance with Procedure Rule D1.19(i) Councillor L Foster be not heard further during this item.

At the request of members and in accordance with Procedure Rule 1.23(d) the names of members voting for, against and abstaining from the motion are as follows –
