Leisure, Arts and Culture Cabinet Member – Minutes – 3 April 2009

55 (27) LEISURE GRANT AID MARCH 2009 – The Service Director Asset Management and Culture submitted a report giving details of the different leisure grant aid schemes in existence, and seeking approval of applications for financial assistance.

Resolved – That the applications be dealt with as follows:

Emily Hickman Selected to train and compete with the British National Judo Squad and England Talent Development Judo Squad
George Bowles Selected to train and compete with the Royal Yachting Association National Youth Windsurfing Squad
Scunthorpe Poly Cycling Club To host National Track Cycling Championships at Quibell Park
SportsAid (Yorkshire & Humberside) Request for support towards the cost of their 2009/10 grant programme.  In previous years the level of awards made to North Lincolnshire residents has far exceeded the council’s grant to SportsAid.
Epworth & District Riding Club Portable fences for cross country course
Axholme Radio Club Provision of new facilities for community radio
Barnetby Central Bowls Club New bowls club pavilion
Bottesford Town Football Club Provision of multi-purpose changing rooms and meeting complex at Birch park,  Bottesford
Broughton Village Hall Replacement of central heating and hot water system and complete electrical rewiring
Flixborough Parish Council Refurbishment of Village Hall to accommodate disabled access to include widening of doors, toilet facilities and lowering of light switches
North Lincolnshire Community Pot Small grants scheme that is quick and easy to access. The Scheme is open to small community groups in North Lincolnshire
Westwoodside Playing Field Association Playing Field Development Project to construct a multi use games area (MUGA)
Parish Church of St Mary, Barton upon Humber Enhancement and refurbishment of St Mary’s Church Bells and the provision of simulator facilities for training purposes and silent practice
