95 (21) APPLICATION FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE – BARTON AND DISTRICT TOWN TWINNING ASSOCIATION – The Service Director Legal and Democratic submitted a report in connection with an application received from the Barton and District Twinning Association for assistance towards the cost involved in this year’s visit of a party of approximately 25 people from Feyzin, France. This was a longstanding twinning arrangement and had been in existence for 30 years and was continuing to develop. The application was for financial assistance towards the costs involved.

Resolved – That a grant of £200 be made to the Barton and District Twinning Association in the financial year 2009/2010.

96 (22) APPLICATION FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE – SCUNTHORPE TWINNING ASSOCIATION – The Service Director Legal and Democratic submitted a report in connection with this year’s exchange between Clamart, France and Scunthorpe. A party of approximately 10 French visitors would be visiting North Lincolnshire in April 2010. This was a longstanding exchange and aimed to continue to foster and promote future twinning activities. The application was for financial assistance towards the costs involved.

Resolved – That a grant of £200 be made to the Scunthorpe Twinning Association in the financial year 2009/2010.

97 (23) APPLICATION FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE – GLANFORD/GIFHORN TWINNING ASSOCIATION – The Service Director Legal and Democratic submitted a report in connection with this year’s exchange between Glanford and Gifhorn, Germany. This year a number of visitors would be coming to North Lincolnshire in July 2010. This was a long standing well established exchange between the two communities and aimed to continue to foster and promote future twinning activities. The application was for financial assistance towards the costs involved.

Resolved – That a grant of £200 be made to the Glanford/Gifhorn Twinning Association in the financial year 2009/2010.
