17 (17) SPORT FACILITIES FEES AND CHARGES – The Director of Places submitted a report which sought approval of the 2013-14 fees and charges for sports facilities.
The key points of the report were as follows:
· The fees and charges needed consideration to enable implementation from 1 April 2013
· It was proposed to freeze fees and charges
· The proposed charges were attached at appendix 1 to the report
It was considered that having appropriate and reasonable fees and charges encouraged people to take part in leisure activities and evidence showed that increasing participation could contribute towards reducing crime and improving health.
Resolved – That the fees and charges for Sports Facilities venues set out in appendix 1 to the report be approved.
