4        (4)  COMMUNITY GRANT AID APPLICATIONS – The Director of Places and the Director of People submitted a joint report which sought consideration of seven applications that had been received for Community Grant Aid.  The applications were considered against the scheme criteria and available funds.

The new Community Grant Fund supported –

• Grants to Individuals
• Community Revenue Grant Programme
• Community Capital Grant Programme

An urgent decision was required to ensure that the funds were released to the applicants prior to the start of the school summer holidays and also the start of the Olympics 2012.

A summary of the seven applications was set out in appendix one to the report.

Councillors C Sherwood and Waltham declared a personal interest in the application from Brigg Town Business Partnership

Resolved – (a) That the following amounts of Community grant support for Youth groups be approved, and (b) that formal presentation of the approved Community Grant Aid requests be made at the Civic Centre, Ashby Road, Scunthorpe on a date to be determined.
