Customer Services, Sport & Leisure and Asset Management, Culture & Housing Cabinet Members – Minute – 21 June 2013

1        (1)  NORMANBY HALL GOLF COURSE AND NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE MUSEUM CAFÉ – INTERIM CATERING ARRANGEMENTS – The Director of Places submitted a report which sought approval for an interim catering arrangement for Normanby Hall Golf Club and the café at the North Lincolnshire Museum.

The council awarded Cloverleaf Catering Ltd (CCL) the contract for the café at the North Lincolnshire Museum for an initial period of 3 years, which began on 3 July 2012.  On 21 May 2013 CCL informed the Council that they would stop providing catering services at Normanby Hall Golf Course on 23 August 2013 and the Café at the North Lincolnshire Museum on 2 September 2013

Sport, Leisure and Culture officers were carrying out a catering review which was considering future provision across the section, however this was in its early stages and would not be completed before the CCL agreement ended.

Steps were needed to provide an interim catering service at the golf course and the Museum for a limited period only so as not to prejudice the longer term outcome.

Options for consideration were outlined within the report.

Resolved – That option 3 as detailed within the report be supported and implemented.
