The corresponding report of the following item (Minute 1 refers) contains exempt information as defined in Paragraph 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).

(3)  SURPLUS LAND – BRIGG PRIMARY SCHOOL – The Director of Places and Director of People submitted a joint report which sought approval to accept a request from the governors of Brigg Primary School to declare land currently allocated to the school as surplus to their requirements.

Brigg Primary School was located off Atherton Way in Brigg.  The extent of the land that was actually used by the school was defined on the plan appended to the report, together with the area which provided no benefit to the school. 

The governors of the school had indicated that they wished to surrender any interest that they had in the land in question.

Resolved – (a) That the request from the governors of Brigg Primary School to declare land currently allocated to the school as surplus to their requirements, as set out in the report, be approved, and (b) that the control and responsibility for the land in question reverted to the council, with immediate effect.
