117      (46) OFSTED INSPECTIONS FOR LOCAL AUTHORITY SCHOOLS – The Director of People submitted a report to inform the Cabinet Member of the outcomes of the Ofsted inspection for Althorpe and Keadby Primary School, Castledyke Primary School, New Holland CE and Methodist Primary School, Frederick Gough School, The Axholme Academy, Bottesford Junior School, Berkeley Junior School, Holme Valley Primary School, and Crosby Primary School.

The schools had been inspected under the Section 5 Ofsted inspection schedule for schools.  Full copies of the reports had been placed in the political group offices.

Resolved – That the Cabinet Member writes to the Headteacher or Chair of Governors/Interim Executive Board of the schools regarding the outcome of their inspection.

The corresponding reports of the following items (Minutes 118 – 120 refer) contain exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 1 and 2 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).

118      (47)  OUTCOME OF CARE QUALITY COMMISSION INSPECTION OF THE LILACS –  The Director of People submitted a report to inform the Cabinet Member that the Care Quality Commission had completed an unannounced inspection of The Lilacs.

The judgement awarded to the service was compliance which was the highest judgement.  The service maintained its license to continue to practice.

Resolved – That the Review of Compliance Inspection Report for The Lilacs Rehabilitation and Reablement Service be received and the work and performance of the Team be recognised.

119      (48) CYGNETS SHORT BREAK CHILDREN’S HOME – OFSTED INSPECTION OUTCOME 2013 – The Director of People submitted a report to inform the Cabinet Member of the outcome of the Ofsted inspection of the Cygnets children’s home.

Ofsted had completed an unannounced inspection on 12 September 2013 (under the Care Standards Act 2000).The overall ‘Outstanding’ inspection outcome had been achieved for a second time under the new inspection framework.

Resolved – That the Cabinet Member write to the Manager and Staff of The Cygnets regarding the outcome of their inspection.

120      (49) REGRADING OF TEAM MANAGER POST –  The Director of People submitted a report which sought approval to regrade the post of Team Manager (Service Coordinator) to reflect the changes in duties working in the integrated mental health service for older people.

Further details of the role and responsibilities were outlined within the report.

Resolved – That option 1 as outlined within the report be approved and backdated to 1 April 2013.
