32 (32) CHANGES TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF EDUCATION SERVICES FOR VULNERABLE CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE – The Director of People submitted a report seeking approval for changes to the staffing establishment within the Education Services for Vulnerable Children and Young People.
The council had a strong record of supporting the education and wellbeing needs of vulnerable children and those with additional needs.
The Children and Families Act 2014 and the accompanying Special Educational Needs & Disabilities Code of Practice had introduced significant changes to the way that vulnerable children with special and additional needs were identified, assessed and made provision for.
A review of Vulnerable Children and Young People services had taken place in partnership with the School’s Forum.
