4          (4)  OFSTED INSPECTIONS FOR SCHOOLS IN THE LOCAL AUTHORITY AREA – The Director of People submitted a report to inform the Cabinet Member of the outcomes of the Section 5 Ofsted inspections of the following schools: Frederick Gough, Kirmington C of E Primary, St Martin’s C of E Primary, Outwood Academy Brumby and Berkeley Junior’s.

The schools had been inspected under the Section 5 Ofsted inspection schedule for schools.  A full copy of the reports had been placed in the political group offices.

Resolved – That the Cabinet Member writes to the Headteacher or Chair of Governors/Interim Executive Board of the schools regarding the outcome of their inspection

5          (5) OUTCOME OF OFSTED INSPECTION POPPY FIELDS NURSERY – The Director of People submitted a report to inform the Cabinet Member of the outcome of the Ofsted inspection held at Poppy Fields Nursery on 31 March 2015.

The inspection had been carried out under sections 49 and 50 of the Childcare Act 2006 on the quality and standards of provision that is registered on the early years register.  A full copy of the report had been placed in the political group offices.

Resolved – That the Cabinet Member writes to the Manager and Staff of Poppy Fields regarding the outcome of their inspection.

6          (6)  RECONSTITUTION OF HAXEY CHURCH OF ENGLAND PRIMARY SCHOOL GOVERNING BODY The Director of People submitted a report which sought approval of the instrument of government to allow the governing body of Haxey Church of England Primary School to be reconstituted.

At the governing body meeting of Haxey Church of England Primary School, held on 7 May 2015, the governors voted to reconstitute the board of governors to bring it in line with the School Governance (Constitution) (England) Regulations 2012 and the School Governance (Constitution & Federations) (Amendment) Regulations 2014.

Appendix 1 of the report set out the constitution of the board of governors in the form of an instrument of government, as requested by the governors of Haxey Church of England Primary School.

Resolved – That the new instrument of government for Haxey Church of England Primary School be approved.
