5 (5) EXTENSION OF FREE CAR PARKING – The Director of Places submitted an urgent report seeking approval for extensions to existing free car parking arrangements covering all council operated pay and display car parks in North Lincolnshire.
The matter was urgent in order that required legal deadlines could be met.
A number of ‘free parking’ initiatives currently operated across North Lincolnshire. These included the first two hours free in all car parks, free after 2.00pm in the Parishes multi storey, free after 3.00pm in the Allanby Street car park and free all day Saturdays.
The council had made financial provision in the approved budget to extend the availability of free parking. The proposal provided for the introductions of free parking in all council operated pay and display car parks on Sundays.
Resolved – That the extension to existing free car parking arrangements, to free parking in all council operated pay and display car parks on Sundays with effect from Sunday 1 November 2015 be approved.
