1 (1) INSURANCE MANAGEMENT ARRANGEMENTS – The Director: Governance and Partnerships submitted a report seeking approval to create a post of Strategic Lead (Insurance) within the Shared Audit and Assurance Service.
Since June 2013 North Lincolnshire Council (NLC) and North East Lincolnshire Council (NELC) had shared a joint insurance manager with East Riding of Yorkshire Council (ERYC). Under this arrangement NLC and NELC had jointly funded half the cost of the post which was held by ERYC. When the Shared Audit and Assurance Service was set up as part of North Lincolnshire Business Connect in April 2016 the arrangement continued.
In December 2016 ERYC gave notice to end the arrangement with effect from 31 October 2017.
It was proposed that a post of Strategic Lead (Insurance) was created as part of the shared Audit and Assurance Service.
Resolved – That creation of the post of Strategic Lead (Insurance), as set out in the report, be approved.
