Safer, Greener & Cleaner Places Cabinet Member – Minutes – 28 September 2017

9 (9) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER (TRO) – FRONT STREET – ULCEBY – The Director: Operations submitted a report considering objections received to the proposed TRO on Front Street, Ulceby.

The planned restrictions were designed to remove parking near the entrance to Yarborough Court Business Centre and improve road safety in the area. The planned restrictions were part of the wider efforts to reduce the number vehicles parking on Front Street.

Concerns had been raised about inconsiderate parking near to the entrance of Yarborough Court Business Centre. Implementing the proposed TRO would allow the opportunity to enforce against parking contraventions using the civil parking enforcement powers available to the council discharged via our team of Community Wardens.

Having consulted on these proposals, the council had received one objection.

Resolved – (a) That the Traffic Regulation Order, as shown on the plan in Appendix 1 to the report, be approved, and (b) that officers write to residents advising them of the decision, following the normal legal procedure.
