Safer Communities
(a) The functions and areas of policy and decision making responsibility are:
- Strategic lead for safer neighbourhoods/community safety partnership
- Public Protection including Trading Standards; Water and Food Safety; Environmental Protection; Licensing; and Animal and Housing Standards, Advice and Homelessness
- Community Wardens, parking and public space protection order enforcement
- CCTV, Security and Out of Hours Centre
- Public Health Protection functions (e.g. environmental hazards, infectious diseases)
