Safer and Stronger Communities Scrutiny Panel – 6 July 2010

The panel met at Pittwood House, Scunthorpe.
286 DECLARATIONS OF PERSONAL OR PERSONAL AND PREJUDICIAL INTERESTS AND DECLARATIONS OF WHIPPING ARRANGEMENTS (IF ANY) – There were no declarations of personal or personal and prejudicial interests.
No whip was declared.
287 MINUTES – Resolved – That the minutes of the proceedings of this panel held on 22 June 2010, having been printed and circulated amongst the members, be taken as read and correctly recorded and signed by the chair.
288 PUBLIC REQUESTS TO SPEAK –There were no requests received.
289 (8) SCRUTINY REVIEW – ‘NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE RESIDENTS PERCEPTION OF THE FEAR OF CRIME’ – Further to Minute 282, the Service Director Legal and Democratic circulated the amended version of the scrutiny panel’s fear of crime survey, for members to comment upon.
Resolved – That the fear of crime survey be approved.
290 ‘LET’S TALK’ – Further to Minute 283, the members viewed the recently released ‘North Lincolnshire Anti-Social Behaviour Awareness Film’, commissioned by the Safer Neighbourhoods Partnership and produced by Cut Ltd. The intention was to show the DVD at residential forums, be a teaching aid within schools and by various council departments when they were interacting with North Lincolnshire residents.
Resolved – That the ‘North Lincolnshire Anti-Social Behaviour Awareness Film’ be noted.
291 (9) LEADER OF THE COUNCIL’S FORWARD PLAN – JUNE TO SEPTEMBER 2010 – The Service Director Legal and Democratic circulated the Leader of North Lincolnshire Council’s Forward Plan for July to October 2010.
The plan contained details of all matters and issues likely to be the subject of key decisions for a period of the next four months, updated on a monthly basis. Members discussed various items on the Forward Plan.
Resolved – That the Leader of the Council’s Forward Plan for July to October 2010 be noted.
