The panel met at the Civic Centre, Scunthorpe.

159  MINUTES – Resolved – That the minutes of the proceedings of this panel held on the 7, 28 November 2012, and the 19 December 2012, having been printed and circulated amongst the members, be taken as read and correctly recorded and signed by the chairman

160   REVIEW OF ENSURING YOUNG PEOPLE HAVE THE RELEVANT SKILLS TO MOVE INTO EMPLOYMENT – Members considered the draft report on the review of ‘ensuring young people have the relevant skills to move into employment’ and discussed potential conclusions and recommendations for inclusion in the final report.

Resolved – (a) That the report and amendments discussed at the meeting be included and the report be approved and (b) that the final version be signed off in consultation with the Chairman and Vice-Chairman.

161  REVIEW OF CHILDHOOD WEIGHT IN NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE – The panel  discussed the issue of childhood weight and was asked to read two documents before their next meeting which were ‘National Child Measurement Programme: England, 2011/12 school year’ and a document produced by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence, ‘Guidance on the prevention, identification, assessment and management of overweight and obesity in adults and children’.

Resolved – That the course of action be agreed and noted
