Health Scrutiny Panel – 16 December 2014
PRESENT:- Councillor Mrs Bromby in the chair.

Councillors Whiteley and Wilson attended the meeting in accordance with the provisions of Procedure Rule 1.37 (b).
The panel met at the Civic Centre, Scunthorpe.
276 DECLARATIONS OF DISCLOSABLE PECUNIARY INTERESTS AND PERSONAL OR PERSONAL AND PREJUDICIAL INTERESTS AND DECLARATIONS OF WHIPPING ARRANGEMENTS (IF ANY) – Cllr Eckhardt declared a personal interest as a Trustee of Lincoln & Lindsey Blind Society
No whip was declared.
277 PUBLIC REQUESTS TO SPEAK– There were no requests received.
278 LOCAL EYE HEALTH SERVICES – The Chairman welcomed Dr Margaret Sanderson, Chair, and Caroline Briggs, Director of Commissioning North Lincolnshire CCG, to the meeting. Caroline gave a short presentation on current and planned models, and responded to members’ questions on a range of related subjects, including community-based models of care, funding and commissioning intentions.
Resolved – (a) That Dr Sanderson and Caroline Briggs be thanked for their attendance, and (b) that the situation be noted.
279 (11) THE NEW REVIEW OF CONGENITAL HEART DISEASE (CHD) IN ENGLAND – The Director of Policy and Resources updated the panel on the ongoing situation regarding the national review of congenital heart disease services. Further consultation was likely in spring 2015.
280 DEVELOPMENTS IN HEALTH – Members received a short, oral update on developing issues relevant to the panel’s terms of reference.
