The panel met at the Civic Centre, Scunthorpe.

339  DECLARATIONS OF DISCLOSABLE PECUNIARY INTERESTS AND PERSONAL OR PERSONAL AND PREJUDICIAL INTERESTS AND DECLARATIONS OF WHIPPING ARRANGEMENTS (IF ANY) – There were no declarations or whip declared.

341  (5)  NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE SAFEGUARDING ADULTS BOARD ANNUAL REPORT 2015 TheChairman welcomed Moira Wilson, Independent Chair, and Denise Hyde, Director of People, to the meeting.  The Chairman explained that Moira and Denise had been invited to discuss the Local Safeguarding Adults Board’s Annual Report, to enable the panel to be assured that processes were established, robust and effective. Moira gave a general overview of the report, discussing individual pieces of work to ensure that safeguarding arrangements are in place.  The Chairman then led a general discussion on the report and safeguarding more generally, and Moira and Denise answered members’ questions as appropriate.

Resolved – (a)  That Moira Wilson and Denise Hyde be thanked for their presentation and for responding to members’ questions, and (b) that the panel note the Board’s Annual Report.

342  VACCINATION AND IMMUNISATION ACROSS NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE – The Chairman welcomed Charlie Chidlow, Screening and Immunisation Co-ordinator NHS England North (Yorkshire & the Humber), Heather Murphy, Deputy Assistant Director CYPF, and Sarah Thompson, Specialist Community Public Health Nurse, Rotherham, Doncaster & South Humber NHS Trust, to the meeting.  Charlie, Heather and Sarah gave a detailed presentation on local performance of vaccination, particularly around HPV, before describing efforts to improve the uptake rate, and processes to ensure that missed vaccinations were identified and appropriate action taken.

Members then took part in a general discussion, with the witnesses answering questions on a number of issues, including methods of working with schools, cross-boundary working, and outreach efforts. 

Resolved – (a)  That Charlie Chidlow, Heather Murphy, and Sarah Thompson be thanked for their presentation, and (b) that the situation be noted
