104 SUBSTITUTIONS – It was reported that there were no substitutions.

105 DECLARATIONS OF PERSONAL OR PERSONAL AND PREJUDICIAL INTERESTS – There were no declarations of personal or personal and prejudicial interests.

106 MINUTES – Resolved – That the minutes of the meeting of the committee held on 21 December 2010 be approved as a correct record.

107 EXCLUSION OF THE PUBLIC – Resolved – That the public be excluded from the meeting for consideration of the following item (minute 108 refers) on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 1 and 2 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).

108 THE FUTURE MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE OF THE COUNCIL – Further to minute 102, the Chief Executive submitted an oral report on the work now been carried out by the newly appointed Service Directors on their service structures. Following their appointment and following the last meeting of the committee, he had discussed the work to be carried out by Service Directors on their service structures based on the template agreed for the Infrastructure Service and he updated the committee on the latest position with regard to that work. An initial discussion had taken place about the draft proposals submitted by Service Directors all of which needed further work before submission to the next meeting of this committee.

A further detailed report together with details of the proposed structures would be submitted to the committee at its next meeting on 9 February 2011.
