23        (4) JUBILEE GRANT AID REQUEST – The Chief Executive submitted a report seeking consideration of three further applications for Jubilee Grant Aid requests that had been received by North Lincolnshire Council, and sought approval for the level of financial assistance to be provided.

The report highlighted that the Queen would celebrate her Diamond Jubilee in 2012 and many communities planned to mark this occasion with various activities and by supplying commemorative items.  Requests for support had been received from town and parish councils, community groups and other individuals.

The council had allocated £25,000 to help communities in North Lincolnshire celebrate this event.  The council had previously awarded grants totalling £21,211.30 (Minutes 20, 21 and 22 refer).

Formal presentation of the approved Jubilee Grant Aid requests would be made at the Civic Centre, Ashby Road, Scunthorpe and on board the Spider T, respectively, on a date to be determined.

Resolved – That the following amounts of Jubilee Grant Aid financial support be approved –
