Asset Management, Culture & Housing Cabinet Member – Minutes – 18 September 2013

63        (15) STRATEGIC BID POST – NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE MUSEUM SERVICE – The Director of Places submitted a report which sought approval to establish two fixed term posts of Audience Development Assistant, in line with the decision of 30 April 2013.

The Arts Council England had awarded a grant of £1,000,000 jointly to North Lincolnshire Museum Service, Hull City Museums and East Riding of Yorkshire Museums and it had been agreed in April that a further report be considered to establish the posts funded by the grant.

It was explained that the Arts Council England funding would pay for all the costs of the posts and it was a requirement of the partnership board that the posts be advertised externally.

The Arts Council England grant was to be used to fund exhibitions and events to commemorate the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War in 2014.

Resolved – (a) That the posts of Audience Development Assistant be approved, and (b) that the recruitment process to fill the posts proceed.
