Adult Services Cabinet Member – Minutes – 15 March 2016

The corresponding report of the following item (Minute 8 refers) contains exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 1, 2 and 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).

8  (8) COMMUNITY SOLUTIONS PROJECT – The Director of People submitted a report seeking approval to create a Community Responder Service for vulnerable adults living in the community by using the resources associated with the Floating Support services.

The vision for health and social care services for the future across North Lincolnshire was outlined in the Health and Well Being and Vulnerable Adults Strategies and the collective ambition was to transform services to provide sustainable and integrated care and support for the people of North Lincolnshire.

The council had a statutory duty under the Care Act (2014) to prevent, reduce and delay the need for specialist services.  This meant that the council was required to ensure effective preventative services were in place.

Full details of the proposed service, including financial implications, were set out in the report and accompanying appendix.

Resolved – That Option 1, to create a Community Responder Service for vulnerable adults living in the community and to establish the posts outlined in Appendix 1 to the report, be approved.

Note: Where there is no report this is because it is exempt, as it contains information which is considered to be of a confidential nature, as detailed in the Local Government (Access to Information) Act.
